Sobre mí / About me

Me llamo Marc Roig y me gusta correr. Soy fisioterapeuta, viajero, escribo crónicas y preparo biberones.

My name is Marc Roig and I like running. I am physiotherapist, traveller, writter and I prepare feeding bottles. I try to keep myself busy physicaly and mentally (would that be the reason I enrolled myself to learn Russian?). I find myself very passionate to start new projects and the harder they are, the more excited I get; but sometimes the passion goes away soon after and I drop the projects unfinished.

When I was young, I used to play football, like most of the children. I loved to run up and down the left side of the field and I used to score a lot, but soon I realized that doing athletics I could travel more and I didn't need a coach to let me play or sit: you just register yourself for a race and that's all.

I always loved long distance races; if you enjoy running, why don't you enjoy for a few hours? I have even tried an Ultra, the Camí de Cavalls, but that (90km) I think it's already too much. I love the marathon and the half. I also love the track and the suffering of running against the clock. Cross-country... I like it if it's not muddy and that allows me to actually run, but I don't practice it so much these days.

I love reading and writing. This blog shows the second; the first is visible in the shelfs at home. I love novels and the great authors. My favorite one is Dumas, but there is space for Victor Hugo as well. Books that are published these days don't tell me much. I like to know what it's new related to athletics, but I rarely buy any of those because it has been writen but this or that person. I have a look at it and, if it convinces me, I might give it an opportunity.

And I love to visit the travel guides section. I know it's not the same as travelling, but it offers me a good time to plan trips that I will never do or just know some details about any corner of this world. That's why this blog is called Carreras del Mundo (runs/races around the world) because it's to discover those places in the world where you can run, because there is a race or because you have your running shoes with you.
